This is a catalog from the Young Ladies Seminary in Benicia for 1874-1875. It contains information about the institution including courses, faculty, calendar, current students, and prior year graduates. Each page of the catalog has been scanned.
There is an owners name in the front. It is Mary E. Wailand of Forest Hill, Hartford County, Maryland.
The book shows many old Benicia names as well as students from as far away as New York and Hawaii. One student, Harriet Riddell (Fish) is shown both as a graduate and as the "painting and drawing" instructor.
