A clipping from the Vallejo Independent Press of 09/04/1983. It is about the Passalacqua family and their coming to Benicia. It tells of the Passalacqua brothers Nicola and Benedetto. Nicola came to Los Angeles as a seaman and then later moved to Vallejo to work on his brother's 54 acre vegetable farm. He tried going into business for himself but then returned to farming.
On 12/12/1885 he married Maria Paganini. He eventually bought a farm and built a house where the present day (1983) Benicia High School athletic field stands. They had eight children:
Milo
Celia
Edith
