A copy of a note showing "Shirley & Co." as the approved agent for Wells Fargo in Benicia, Ca. It is dated 1869. This was provided to Lenoir Miller by the Wells Fargo Bank History Room in 1951. This may relate to one of the Pony Express monument dedications in Benicia. The letter is from Irene Simpson. This material was collected by Lenoir Miller (deceased) and passed on to Harry Wassmann.
