Scope and Content

File titled "Correspondence Semple" contains many pages. Letter to the US Army Department, Washington DC from O. J. Wohlgemuth, Walnut Creek written in 1950 requesting information on three officers, two of which had charges brought before them and subsequent court martial in 1850. Mr Wohlgemuth was contributing chapters to a four volume history of Free Masonry in California which was published in 1950. The volumes are available for reference in the Benicia Public Library.
