It looks like the names were signed by the people in the photograph. The handwritting is different for each name.
On the bottom back of the photo it says F Marell.
The 1900 CR shows Archibald Lewis Silman (born 02/1874) as the only "A Silman" in Merced county. He lives with his cousin in Hopeton, Merced county. In the WWI draft registration he is shown as tall with a small build. He is a probation officer working for the county.
The only F King on the 1900 census is Felix Z King a minister born 01/1862. He is married to Jeannie with four kids Hollis(1889), Stanley(1893), Kate(1895) and Annie(1899).Collection
