photocopy of a Deed: Jasper O'Farrell sold to Stephen Cooper
Lot No. 9 block 14 in Benicia (according to Benicia Block Book: the northeast corner of West 2nd and West E Streets)
"Know all men by these presents: That, I Jasper O'Farrell, of Bodega, District of Sonoma and territory of California, by my Attorney in act and law, Chas. P. Wilkins, in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars, to me paid by Stephen Cooper, of said district, the receipt where is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents, do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Cooper all my right, title and interest of in and to all that certain lot of land in the City of Benecia in said district, Being Lot No. 9 block 14 in said City of Benecia, as granted to me by recorded deed from R. Semple. To Have and To Hold the above described lot of land to the only proper use and behoof of the said Cooper his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof, I, the said O'Farrell by my attorney, Chas. P. Wilkins, have hereinto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of October. A.D. 1849.
