Very light copy of a Deed from Thomas & Rachel Larkin to William Tustin.
Know all men by these presents, That we Thomas O. Larkin and Rachel his wife, of the town of Monterey, Upper California, for an in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, to us in hand paid by William Tustin of the town of Benicia California the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained, sold, and delivered and by these presents do bargain, sell and deliver the said William Tustin all our right, title and interest to a certain tract or parcel of land, known as Lot No. Twelve (12) Block No. Fifty-eight (58) as laid down and numbered as above in the present Plan of Benicia, the said lot lying and being in Benicia,
Corner of M Street and Second Street East, one
hundred and fifty feet on M Street, and one hundred
and twenty-five feet on Second Street East - a little
more or less.
To have and to hold, with all its appurtenances and advantages to him and his heirs and assigns Forever; and we the said Larking and Rachel his wife, do, by these presents, Warrant and Defend the said William Tustin, his heirs and assigns to the title to said lot, from ourselves, our heirs and assigns forever.
In Testimony Whereof, we, the said Thomas O. Larkin, and Rachel his wife, have hereunto set our hands and seals, in the presence of the assisting witness in Monterey California on this Ninth day of September in the year of our Lord, one thousand either hundred and forty-seven.
