Deed for transfer of land from E. H. von Pfister to Wardens and Vestrymen of St. Pauls Church Benicia Handwritten on blue paper: This indenture made this twenty fifth day of April A.D. Eighteen hundred and fifty nine, between E. H. von Pfister of the City of Benicia in the County of Solano and State of California, party of the first part and Robert Murray, Julian McAllister Wardens and Charles W. Hayden, J. Franklin Williams, Joseph Tuttle, Jeremiah Fuss, and Theodore J. Eckerson Vestrymen of St. Pauls Church Benicia of the Episcopal demonination, parties of the Second part. witnessed that the said party of the first part for and in the consideration of the sum of One Hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained, sold, remised, conveyed and quit claimed and by these present does grant, bargain, sell, remise, convey and quitclaim unto the said parties of the Second part and to their successors and assigns forever all the right, title and interest of the said party of the first part of in and to all that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the City of Benicia, County of Solano and State of California and known on the Official Map of said City as follows to wit: The South half of Lot (13) Thirteen in Block (27) Twenty Seven fronting Sixty two and half feet on First Street and running back same width and fronting on alley, One Hundred and Fifty feet. Together with all and singular the tenement hereditaments and appertenances thereunto belonging and the rents, issued and profits thereof. To have and to hold, all and singular the abovementioned and described premises together with the appertenances unto the said parties of the Second part, their successors and Wardens, and Vestrymen of St. Pauls Parish Benicia and their assigns forever. In witness whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first before written E. H von Pfister (signature and seal) State of California County of Solano On this seventh day of May A.D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Nine before me, C. W. Hayden, a Notary Public, in and for said County personally appeared. E. H von Pfister to me personally known to be the individual described in and who executed the annexed Instrument and acknowledged to me that he executed the same freely and voluntarily and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.
