A cartoon regarding Jack McClain. This may have been around the time they announced "McClain Day" in Benicia to honor Jack McClain local baseball star and umpire. Played on Monarch of Oaks team in 1906.
The drawing was done by Bob Silva, sports editor and overall editor of the Benicia Herald so the drawing most likely appeared in the Benicia Herald. Mr. Silva did many drawings of local and national sports persons.Collection
