Scope and Content

3" x 5" envelope addressed to Mr. Alfred R. Johnson Port Costa Lumber Co. Benicia U.S.A. Solano Co. Cal There is a blue 2-1/2 cent stamp in the upper right corner. In the center there is a profile drawing of a man with a beard. The mailing postmark is difficult to read but it appears to have been mailed in a foreign country/area (might be Bavaria). The mailing date is Dec. 29, 1906.The item was received in Benicia on Jan. 17, 8 AM, 1907. (Receiving Post Mark is on the back of the envelope.) The color of the envelope is beige. (Might be partly due to its age.)
