This is an extract of the Community Records in San Rafael of the Dominican Sisiters. It talks about the cemetery the sisters at St. Catherines Academy established for members of their order when they were in Benicia. The original burying ground was on the grounds of the academy. In 1897 they became worried by some remarks made by Mr. Mizner that the City Authorities might make a move on the cemetery. Anticipating such a move, the sisters had the bodies re-interred in the new cemetery purchased by the Fathers.
