Description

An American Flag folded and presented, usually to the wife, at the end of a military funeral service. This flag is encased in a wooden triangle box with a glass viewing top. An inscribed metal plaque reads 'In Living Memory MILTON GOLDINGER Colonel, U.S.A.F.' Colonel Goldinger was born on July 14, 1909 and passed on September 20, 1986. From September 2, 1927 until his retirement on September 12, 1962 he had a distinguished military career serving as an attorney and counselor in the General Military Courts. In 1962 while stationed at Travis Air Force Base he was appointed to the Ninth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals as an Attorney and Counselor. During this time Colonel Goldinger was in a private law practice for nine years in New Jersey.
