This is a letter from Henry Wetmore to his sister, Lucy Wetmore dated 12/07/1847. Henry is soon to be Samuel's brother-in-law. He is writing from Baltimore, MD where Samuel Gray is working and is about to head home to marry Lucy (12/14/1847). Henry says he had a Daguerreotype made for her but didn't like it and will have another made for her and his mother. He then talks of his own plans for getting married which are rather vague at this time. (Henry eventually marries Mary Winn in 1852 in Suisun, CA.)
