This is a letter dated 06/11/ with no year shown from Mother Rebecca Hubbard Wetmore (1795 - 1885) to Lucy Wetmore Gray regarding family matters. The letter mentions receiving a letter from Chauncey (1818 - 1894) and Mary Buck Wetmore (1816 - 1894) her son and daughter-in-law. In that letter they mention the problems encountered on shipboard. This probably means this letter was written shortly after C.E. Wetmore went to California and prior to Samuel and Lucy Gray moving there. That would put the date around 1848.
Also mentioned in the letter is Mr. Jones (18232 - 1897) who is married to her daughter Harriet (1823 - 1901).
