This is a letter dated 10/25/1850 from Harriet Wetmore (1823 - 1901) to her brother Samuel Gray regarding family matters. She wishes that her parents didn't have to work so hard at their age and she generally wishes that they weren't in the milk business. She says she hoped they would get out of the milk business when her father went to California.
