This is a letter from Lucy Wetmore Gray on the East Coast to her husband Samuel C Gray in Benicia dated 09/02/1852. The letter talks of her travels with Hariett and the bad cold she caught.
Lucy mentions Samuel's last letter and his wish to discuss their relationship. Lucy also would like to do that when she feels better. She says she received a letter from her brother Chauncey and his wife Mary in California. She also expresses her sorrow that he is lonely and says she is sorry she hasn't written more.
