Description

This is a letter from Lucy Wetmore Gray on the East Coast to her husband Samuel C Gray dated 09/03/1852. The letter talks of her husband's last three letters and her wish to respond to them. She mentions that her husband is staying at the American for $12 per week and about his plans to visit New York. It sounds like he is traveling to or already is on the East Coast. She mentions Mr. Woodbridge's health and hopes that he survives his illness. She also mentions someone named Robert who is also sick. She also mentions a Mrs. Gladwin who is 28 years old and has 6 children and probably will have 6 more. (Mr. Gladwin is a friend of Lucy's brother, Henry.) The last part of the letter Lucy talks of sinners repenting, including her husband, and of seeking God's grace.
