This is a letter dated 10/07/1854 from Mother Rebecca Hubbard Wetmore to Lucy and Samuel Gray regarding family matters. She congratulates both of them on the birth of their second son, Samuel Arthur Gray (11/24/1853 * 1921). (In her previous letter she mentioned the loss of their son Franklin: 08/20/1851 - 01/16/1852.) She writes to Lucy about taking care of herself with two children to raise and says she will send some "catnip".
She is expecting a visit from Mr. Woodbridge any day. (This could be Rev. Woodbridge's son who studied for the ministry on the East Coast.)
