This is a letter to Samuel Gray from Chauncey Wetmore in Benicia dated 11/06/1854. After Mr. Wetmore tendered his resignation from the Board of the Benicia Female Seminary (Young Ladies Seminary) there were obviously some debts that the Board was expected to cover from the Seminary. Mr. Wetmore is just acknowledging that he has a share of the debts to pay and how he thinks it should be calculated.
In 1854 the Seminary was sold to Mary Atkins.Collection
