This is a letter from Samuel C Gray to Mr. Edward Crocker dated 06/14/1859. Mr. Gray is traveling and at the time this letter was written was on his way to Boston.
The subject of the ;etter is mainly business. He talks of a loan from Mr. Marshall which depends on money due to a Mr. Wood. He mentions the instal;lation of fire plugs along First street and laying of a water pipe, and the possible renting of his house. He does send his regards to his friends in Benicia and mentions that several former Califonians who he saw on the East Coast are thinking of returning to California.Collection
