This is a letter from Samuel C Gray in Stillwater, NY to Edward Crocker in Benicia, dated 09/02/1859. He starts by describing an attempt to reach H.D. Cooke about an outstanding loan. Mr. Cooke is the publisher of a local Ohio newspaper.
