This is a letter to Samuel C Gray from his sister Mary dated 07/30/1865. (NOTE: The letter ends abruptly. It seems to be missing one or more pages.) The letter is dated about 3 months after General Lee surrendered to Grant (04/09/1865). The letter details Mary and her husband's travels from Columbus, Georgia North to Troy and Lansingburgh, New York.
