This is a letter dated 09/28/1868 to Harriet Wetmore from one of her sisters (not sure which) regarding family matters. She mentions Harriet going to Santa Cruz and Santa Clara then says she was able to get away also for a while. (She is taking care of their parents.)
One interesting piece of advice for a couple that is always quarrelling, is that one of them should be 15 or 20 years younger than the other so as to be more docile.
