Description

This is a short note from Lansing Mizner (one time US Minister to Central America) to Hubert Howe Bancroft (a historian of the American West who collected and published 39 volumes on the history and peoples of western North America), asking that he loan Mr. Samuel Gray some materials that Mizner had written regarding the history of Benicia. The lecture that Mr. Gray wrote for a Benicia organization may be the source of the narrative printed in the 'History of Solano County, 1879'.
