This is a letter dated 02/12/1879 from Mrs. Mary Gray Morton to her brother Mr. Samuel C. Gray regarding mainly her response to his telling her of his financial reverses. Mary tries to point out the many blessings he still has and points to others who have had troubles but bear it in silence. She mentions that she has seen bad times that she doesn't talk about but trusts in the Lord.
