This is a letter dated 05/18/1879 from Mother Rebecca Hubbard Wetmore to Lucy Gray in Benicia. She acknowledges Samuel's request for her to send him the notes she has now, and he will replace them with notes at 7.5% interest. She is sorry that they are still having financial problems. She then mentions her son Chauncey Wetmore who is also in California. She wishes he would come home and can't imagine how he can live without a job or a home. She then talks of land that will be in her estate and how it might be inherited.
