This is a letter dated 05/29/1879 from Mr. Edward Gray to Mr. Samuel C. Gray regarding family and business matters. One matter he discusses is the sale of his house in Benicia. He wants a quick sale and thinks that $1,500 would be a low price for the house that he says he put $1,700 into it. He then agrees that the proceeds from the sale of the house and stock can be used to fund the mortgage on Samuel's house.
There is an odd comment about the sale of Capt. Walsh's house and the fact that Edward left a "hat rack" there which he says should be sold.
