This is a letter dated 06/26/1879 from Mother Rebecca Hubbard Wetmore to Samuel C Gray in Benicia. She agrees to Samuel paying the interest twice a year on May 1st and November 1st. She assures him that he is not alone in not succeeding and mentions her sons in California, Chauncey and Henry Wetmore. She closes by praising her daughter Lucy (Samuel's wife) and wishing she wasn't suffering so much. (Lucy Wetmore Gray was born in 1820 and died 07/02/1879.)
