2024.10.1.138Description
This is a letter from E. Stewart in Campello (probably Campello, Brocton, Plymouth, Mass.) to Samuel C Gray dated 10/05/1879. Mr. Stewart references a deal he has signed off on with Mr. Brocton and the fact the Samuel Gray agreed top make up for his loss on that deal with an interest in property in New York.
The letter discusses the receipt of a check for $184.88 and mentions sending a receipt to Mr. Burton as requested. The writer states their belief that Mr. Gray intends to fulfill his promises and, therefore, signed off on the receipt. However, they hope this action does not nullify any verbal agreements made with Mr. Crocker and himself. The writer indicates that once all creditors have signed off, Mr. Gray plans to provide security on a New York property to compensate for the loss.Collection
