This is a letter dated 09/11/1880 from Mr. Edward Powers Gray to Mr. Samuel C. Gray regarding mainly family matters. His first part of the letter congratulates Samuel on getting employment at the Water Company and of Samuel's son Dr Edward Gray and his wife Gertrude of going to the mining country. He also says he thinks it is a good idea for Samuel to hire Lucy Wetmore (1859 - 19128) as a housekeeper. (This is probably Henry Wetmore's daughter.)
He mentions their sister Affa's grandchildren, Hubert and Phillip they are probably the sons of Lewis and Mary Wells.
