This is a letter dated 08/31/1891 from Mrs. Mary Gray Morton to her brother Mr. Samuel C. Gray regarding mainly family and travel matters. Mary says they saw William Pittman (sister Emily's husband) on the "cars". He thought they might come to Baltimore when Samuel and Fanny visit Mary. She confides in Samuel why that won't work and asks that he dissuade them from visiting her. She talks of the difficulty of finding a good housekeeper. She seems excited for Samuel's visit on the 8th. Lastly, she talks of her sadness for sister Emily.
