This is a letter from Samuel C Gray to his daughter Gertrude Gray Morton (her birth name was Lucy Gertrude Gray but was known as Gertrude) dated 10/21/1891 from Brooklyn, NY. Samuel Gray and his wife, Martha (Fanny Garretson Gray), are traveling and Samuel is letting his children know how they are doing and where they have been traveling.
In this letter he describes visiting his sister Emily Naomi Gray Pittman (1812 - 1892) who is ill in bed. They also see her son Edward and write to her other son William Pittman. He uses this letter to tell Gertrude of the many things they did when they were in Boston. He mentions many churches, monuments, museums, etc. that they visited. He also made a visit to Mr. Edward Crocker his old partner from Benicia.Collection
