2024.10.1.346Description
This is a letter dated 12/23/1891 from Mrs. Mary Gray Morton to her brother Mr. Samuel C. Gray regarding mainly family matters. She starts by saying that the "spoon" has not yet arrived. She then says they are going to Troy, NY to see sister Emily as her son Edward says she is not doing well.
Mary says she is busy making things for a poor church in Connecticut. She talks about the children they are helping and says, "poor women who have to toil for the bare necessities of life". She volunteers with the "Mother's Mission".
Lastly, she passes on the news that their brother, Edward, is going to Florida.
