This is a letter from Lucy Gray in Benicia to Samuel Gray probably in San Fracisco. She talks of some business items and of getting a girl to help out. She then tells her husband that she had a miscarriage the day before. She sent for Harriett and the doctor. The doctor told her to stay in bed and gave her Opium and sulfate of lead. She is getting up a little today.
