Book used to keep notes. Some pages look like a financial account of spending starting 02/03/1897. Other pages seem to be tracking musical/operas starting 1870's.
In the very back is an index of what was recorded on each page. For example it says that page 202 is a "record of photographs for May 1898". On page 202 is a list of photographs taken (some in Yosemite) the light conditions, the camera settings, and a ranking of the photo.Collection
