Scope and Content

Small personal journal kept by E.T. Starr (Edward Thompson Starr born 1843) of Vallejo in 1888. (The journal year shown on the front is 1886 but he has overwritten it with 1888 on the inside cover.) Mr. Starr records the weather every day and his activities. In the back he records his expenditures. The activities stop about the first of September. He talks about the grapes a lot so maybe he has a vineyard.
