has locking clips on all sides; two on the top which disengage, one on each side that disengage and two on the bottom which keep the lid attached to the box even when open;
there is a carrying handle on top along with hangers for attaching to a wall; the storage space is divided into two parts.
Inside the cover of the box is a sheet MA4-60 (3-61) with heading "U.S. Department of Commerce / Maritime Administration / Pacific Coast District" which lists the authorized contents of the First Aid Kit - Reserve Fleet
[the only date shown that the box was inspected is 9/5/63 and the condition was marked OK and initialed "DD" at bottom: USCOMM-MA-SF
