Scope and Content

This journal/ledger contains the beginnings of Benicia including: lists and descriptions of first 12 houses in Benicia, a translation of the deed to General Vallejo by Manual Micheltorena, Governor of Calif. (1844); deed to Semple and Larkin by Vallejo (1847); deeds of properties sold by Semple and Larkin from 1847 - 1849 Blue leather, black on part of spine: Imprinted "Records of Benicia / 1847 1849 / Solano County size 16" H x 11-1/2" W x 2-1/2"D good condition NOTE: Attached are images of 1/6 of the ledger.
