Scope and Content

A separate index to Book D (1986.010.272). The index is 9-1/2"W x 14-1/2"H. The cover is a mottled patter of browns and red with dark tape on the spine and corners. This journal/ledger contains legal documents, deeds and mortgages as copied from the original documents leather - brown/tan; written on spine "District Court / 1850-51/ D" size: 11" W x 15-1/2" H x 2-1/2" D decent condition - cover is worn and discolored index refers to deed exchanges and mortgages but the ledger also contains court actions (i.e. the first one has Robert Semple suing William Robinson for $1,188.84 and Mr. Robinson's attorney was S.B. Mizner)
