Scope and Content

Large ledger - on Spine: Benicia Land Claims / Solano County On title page (after 5 blank pages): "Awards made and Certificates issued by the Trustees of the City of Benicia....and approved July 23d 1866 and an Act of the Legislature, State of California...April 20, 1866". These Acts seem to be related to the Suscol Ranch land decision of 1863. The first entry was March 6, 1867 - the last entry was March 23,1868. There are many names of land owners which are familiar to Benicia history and commerce. Size: 18-1/4" length x 17-1/2" width x 2" depth
