Other words "Or----ee-s Department" Notice of instructions pasted inside front cover - ink inscription bottom of this notice "Property of Mr/Mrs Rudolph Quandt, 660 East "K" Street, Benicia, California" Contents are notices in ink of letters (copies of) where from and to whom and contents. Latter day book used as scribble pad by child/children and scrapbook circa 1933 on.

The Spine may have read "Letters Sent To Ordnance Department" or something very similar
The first entry is dated January 2, 1875 and the final entry is dated July 11, 1877
after page 136 the ledger was used by various children for scribbling, serious drawing, and as a scrapbook for airplane pictures among other. One newspaper article is dated November 26, 1933 and concerns that season's Army vs Navy football game.
