A thank you note addressed to "My Dear Allice" it reads:
" Received your very wecome Mother day card and also your thoughtful and kind gift for which I thank you very much. Allice dear I did not expect anything from you but when you were so thoughful of me I sure appreciate it and had more welcome for it than anything I received as It was your kind thoughts again. I thank you my dear and hope God will leave you good health with the best of good luck always. Now my dear I hope I will see you soon as I have not been feeling very good lately. I had another very sick spell and had the doctor again but thank God I am feeling better.
Well my dear everything here is just about the same as when you were here. We are all feeling pretty good. Now how is your health. Allice I hope you are keeping well. Poor Mert is not so well. She has one of those spells again. I fear she wont ever be very strong. Now my dear you will be lucky if you can read my scribbling as my hands are not very good just now but I am thankful to be that good. Well Allice I will close now hoping this will find you well.
