Scope and Content

Glenhien Dec 2nd, 1890 Dear Cousin, I now sit down to answer your very welcome & long - looked for letter. Mother was very uneasy not hearing from you for so long. We were thinking that you must have been removed, for I wrote twice and got no reply. We were glad to hear that you were all in good health & your family getting on so nicely. Dear Cousin Father and Mother were both lying in the Spring with Influenza & then they relapsed & the disease turned to Bronchitis. It was nearly two months before they were able to move about but I'm thankful to say they are both recovered Mother is always troubled with the Rheumatic pains and this winter seems to be very cold so far which is very severe on her. The Influenza was rife here at that time there was a great many deaths of both old and young your Aunt Mary died at that time. My sisters and their families are all well Mrs. Mayberry's oldest son Johnnie Robinson is in Belfast serving his time to the Drapery business & Lizzie Gmma(?) the oldest shops at home to assist her mother. the others fomies(?) Torrance, Thomas, Ferrier, Alexander & Anna Margaret are at school & William the baby is only six months old. They are always living in Hilrea(?) five miles from here. Mrs McLeese & family are well. Anna Rogers Lizzie Gray & James are at school. They live two miles from here.Miss Henry & Thomas fames are going to school they live one mile from here. So you see they are all convenient to us. Dear Cousin I hope you will get this letter alright for I will be delighted to get Willie's picture. I would like to have a letter from Allie & if she could find it conveneint to send her husband's picture & her own when you write to her please tell her. We would all like very much if some of my cousins would have courage I come over on a visit in the Spring if they come I will go over with them.
