This is a letter from one brother to his brothers and sisters. It contains a copy of their late Uncle's will.
The Uncle is James Dickson of Three Rivers Canada. This is in the Province of Lower Canada, county of St. Maurice and district of Three Rivers, Canada. The will was written 05/13/1854.
It stipulates:
Firstly: He resigns his soul to God.
Secondly: All of his debts be paid.
Thirdly: Leaves his property to his wife Harriet Sawtell.
Fourthly: Leaves the property he currently occupies to his Niece Elizabeth Anderson.
Fifthly: Leaves 25 pounds each yearly to his nieces and nephews James, Edward, and Alfred Sawtell. They are children of the late Thomas Sawtell and wife Margaret Anderson.
Sixthly: Leaves the same 25 pounds per year to his brothers George and John Dickson.
Seventhly: After the death of his wife he leaves his property to his Nephews and Nieces.
Eighthly: Revokes all prior wills.
Ninthly: Appoints the Reverand Hugh Montgomery as his Executor.
The last part of the letter suggests the brothers see a lawyer and questions if any of the estate will go to the Sawtell side of the family when their Aunt passes away.Collection
