Fourth of a group of Four Letters from September and October 1946 on the subject of changing the name of M Street to Crooks Boulevard. To: Benicia City Planning Commission Michael Fitzgerald, Chairman From: Benicia Property Owners Association Mike Walsh, President dated: October 18, 1946 main thought: at a meeting of the association the renaming of the State military Highway was discussed; other suggestions were more in keeping with the geographical location such as "Carquinez Drive", "Solano Ave." or "Arsenal Blvd."; they believed it would be more fitting to honor Mr. Crooks by renaming City Park "W.L. Crooks Park". 8-1/2" x 11"
