Scope and Content

This is a letter from Leroy Johnson, member of Congress, to Mrs Helen Johnston of the Benicia Centennial Committee. It is dated 05/19/1947 and came with the flag that was flown over the Nation's Capitol on that date. The Congressman congratulates Benicia for being a city for 100 years. He also assures us that he will do everything he can to prevent the removel of activities from the Benicia Arsenal.
