Letter from Andrew Smith to his uncle. Andrew sympathizes for his uncle over the loss of his baby. He writes, "we must acknowledge an overruling hand in such matters and trust..." Andrew acknowledges that it is very hard to bear at the time. He states that the baby has gone from a world of sin to a happier place where sin is unknown. Andrew says they've experienced an abundance of rain and he is very busy. He is hoping to have some time to himself in the evenings. Andrew writes, "I received papers from Charles today for which I thank him would like to have him write a short.." He concludes his letter by telling his uncle to give his love to his aunt and all his cousins. "Tell aunt no to grieve too much for the baby as he is happier... Hoping I hear from you soon"Collection
