Scope and Content

Letter from Harriet Riddell-Fish of Benicia and addressed to Ms Azzie Munson in Crockett . The letter is dated 03/19/1899. Harriet is writing to Azzie and her sister to see if they would help her start a painting class in Valona. She says her time is freed up because her husband's brother is visiting them, Mr. D. Fish. She asks that they find four students for $1.00 per lesson and she will give them their lessons for free. She mentions that she has a lot of new landscapes and has been painting busily since Xmas. To advertize the class she suggests coming over and bringing "ten medals" along with the pictures. (This may be referring to the Mechanic's Institute Fair medals that the Museum has (2013.021.0004 - 13)
