Mother's old letters"
Letter from a brother-in-law and sister in Ireland to their sister in America dated March 17, 1858. The letter comes from Cullyapple which is either in:
County Londonderry
or
County Antrim
Based on other letters the writer of this letter is probably in Londonderry.
There are two people writting in this one letter. The first is James McQuigg (the brother-in-law) who has sent a 10 pound check to her in Pittsburg. He talks of the bank he used and that he will send the rest in November.
The second part of the letter is from her sister, Betty McQuigg. The only family news is that their step-mother has married for the third time. She is almost 70 and now has two houses from deceased husbands, one in Cullycapple and one in Garvaugh.Collection
