on reverse side is a photocopy of a letter from Bishop Wingfield to the Commandant of the Benicia Arsenal dated Feb 13, 1889 -
He is asking for a favor from Maj. Krepast (?) regarding a memorial for a professor of the college who died. He needs a chair built and wants a Mr. George Pringle to make it with machinery at the Arsenal. Col. McAllister has already written that Mr. Pringle will make an altar so with this letter he also asks that a chair made.
It is not known if the items were in fact made and delivered.
